Greetings all.

I have a 10 ga. Green underlever-hammered with the number of 3866. Any one able to tell me particulars on this gun from the numbers? I have been able to find the basic info on Mr. Green but that is about it. At a couple points the barrels have a very aged damascus look and then not so much in others. very confused as to what I actually have in my possession.

And I am from Jacksonville Il thus the interest in the gun to begin with.

My "new" Edwinson Green 12 bore engraved boxlock has been at the gunsmith's for several months being refurbished. The barrels are being reblued (re-blacked?) and the stock is being refinished. When it returns, I'll post photos.

I had hoped to hunt with it this past season, but the timing didn't work out. Fortunately, I have a few other SxS's. I'm hoping it will be ready for the FLATWATER shoot in late April 2011.

The serial number is in the "6000 range", but is not #6000. Sorry for any confusion.

I have an EC Greene sidelock #1 of 2 in the 6000 range. The locks are "Best Grade" locks according to the maker. 1898 according to "British Gunmakers"
