In 12 ga. all the mod 23's that I have seen advertised were choked MOD & I/C when the barrel length was 26". Anything longer seems to be FULL/MOD. Just wanted to know if all 26" barrelled 12ga. Mod 23's were choked MOD & I/C by Winchester?

I know for sure that there were 28" IC/IM in both 12 and 20 for the European market. They had splinter forearms and could be had with straight or pistol grips and single or double triggers. The frames polished with a silver nitrate(or nitrite, whichever the case may be) finish. Don't think I would call them gloss. They might appear more satin but they weren't called that. MIKE THE BEAR Unregistered	MODEL 23s receivers came both blued and "polished" without bluing. (Don't know what finish was used.) Color of receiver depended on specific model.
