I have one. "Bladesmith" here blew one up. Lots of drop to the stock and everyone loves hammers in theory until they have to cock one flying (the bird not the gun altho it amounts to about the same thing) and might be a few questions about the strength of those "decarbonized" (early fluid steel) and twist barrels but other than that I'd think there'd be a run on the things, at least among those who prefer guns that they won't use. So maybe with sufficient condition you'd have a winner. With that said, I shot mine with a leather comb riser at Sandanona Vintage Cup a few yrs. back and shot slightly better than 50% which maybe wasn't too awfully bad for a 300 dollar gun. They have the simple elegance of all sidelocks (less junk in the box).
