I would like to hear from those who are having this single to double trigger conversion done about the appearance, trouble-free function, and their experience with the outfit doing the conversion. I have a 20/20/16(Galazan) set that I wouldn't part with for less than $7,500... but then, it's not for sale.

My only ST Repro is undergoing a SST to DT conversion as I type this, which will make it the configuration I have been searching for for fourteen years. My long term search was for a 28 gauge straight grip with double triggers. Found and bought it a year ago at Steve Barnetts. What was yours? Best, Mike

jmc and DAM16SXS, you both have a PM.
Mike, long story short...a 20-ga. DHE Repro, 28" bbls. FACTORY CHOKED Q1/Q2, SG, SPL and DT's. I'll share the long story after I receive the conversion gun back.

Larry, RE: the weight of 20-ga. Repros. You'll get no argument from me, they are a little too heavy to carry all day---if you have tunnel vision and look at them from only that perspective. That's why they made 28-ga. 5 1/2 lb. Repros!
Look, both you and I shoot, almost exclusively, our game guns at targets. In my case, I believe that I shoot somewhere around 500 shots at a clay target to every one shot I take at a grouse or woodcock. I believe I can shoot a 20-ga. 6 1/2 lb. Repro better and more comfortably at targets than I could if that gun weighed in at 6 lbs.
They all don't have to weigh 5 lbs. 15 oz....

Hi all, thanks for all the replies, most interesting. Anyway, here's one for $5700.00: http://www.crosnoeguns.com/itemdetail.asp?ID=4370I have no interest in this gun at all, but would like to hear some opinions on it. All the best! Greg

would like to hear some opinions on it. My opinion is that the 20 ga barrels are too short and the 16 ga chokes are too loose. Still, a nice gun at what seems to be a fair price.

The one at Cosnoes is probably a good buy now that he has lowered the price a couple of times. But you do have to look at all the spec's. Did you notice the 20ga barrels are choked Cyl & CYL. Parker Repro's never came cylinder bored that I know of & this is probably the main reason this gun hasn't sold before now.
If a guy could buy this one right, it would still be a good gun IMO. If you wanted you could have choke tubes installed in the 20ga barrels & have a gun for all occations.
