Hi all.

Question:

How difficult is it to change the hinge pin yourself on a 21?

Can it be rotated?

I am a Toolmaker by trade.

My gun seems just a tad loose when the forearm is off. I can get slight movement with a twisting motion on the action.

I assume the pin is a close fit to the bore, and you would have to machine a new pin, and ream the bore to fit?

I can adjust the latch, but when it is adjusted to take out the play, the lever is a bit to the left.

I belive this gun is a 1940 or so gun. It has the old style water table marks with the patent numbers, and the barrles are marked as the early years are.
12guage, 28" choked Mod and Full
Serial number is 16393.
Gun is original. stock marked with serial number under tang.
