Hi PB,

Considering you are willing to redo it, maybe you could try sanding the stock as is
with 600 grit sand paper with the finish you used and working in the slurry it will
generate with your hand. You may want to use a rubber glove as I have read
somewhere that tung oil can have dermatitic properties.
