Congratulations. You are lucky on many levels. Not too many stocking gun shops would just seemingly pull a price out of the air for a small gauge Parker. If they did, it would be more often be too high rather than too low. For over a grand more than you eventually paid, most would say "Money talks, etc., etc." and sell it for the higher offer. It is also surprising that another customer did not grab it before you had the chance to come back.
Considering the above and the fact that several folks here did enough digging to actually find it, my advice would be to take a small small portion of your savings on this great buy and use it to purchase a Blue Book.
