There was a pretty decent English 10 bore HG but I can't remember the name and lot number. Anyone know what it went for??

Terry, it was way more than pretty decent. It was outrageous. It is an H. Clarke and it was given away at $1400. The buyer could make his money back by selling pictures of the gun.

OWD, the Daly was wonderful. However, I am always a little weird about 26" Dalys that are not featherweights. Another clue is the placement of the ivory beads. The rear bead was about 2/3 of the way to the muzzle. I don't think it was cut from 30", but I'm fairly sure it was cut from at least 28". It showed less choke than the description claimed. Another example of "buyer beware".

Thx 8bore,if the bores and barrel wall were good that was a steal. I was considering an absentee bid but without having it vetted out, and the mechanics of trying to get it shipped were a little too daunting. I hope it found a good home...... not that I really need another 10 bore , but....

8Bore-
How do you tell if it's an original Featherweight? Are they marked, or does something give them away?
Thanks

Not all Featherweights are marked. This was a fairly heavy gun, over seven pounds, not an original Featherweight.

I downloaded the the auction bill from the Horst Auction this past Saturday and the sale prices. If you are interested in the information, send me a PM and I will get it to you along with e-mail and phone number of Horst Auction.
