My vet said every dog is different. My male(lab) at 3 years took a week and he was faster than ever with no complications. My female(lab) at 8 months took a month before being back to normal. Best wishes on a fast and healthy recovery. Best, Ron
Jim, 7 is very old to have a female "neutered". It would be important to know the procedure used to determine recovery time. I have my dogs "fixed" as soon as the vet allows. It is major sergury for female dogs if it is more than tying tubes. You'll know when she's ready to go back to work. And, best make it part-time to start. Bob Jurewicz
