Without reservation, the stamp of the "G" ore tub in the shape of a sole "M", probably a process mark noting the amount of effort, is that of Gebrüder Merkel. The Merkel boys, Bernhard, Oskar, Gebrüder were heavily sourced by Heinrich Scherping.
