Any of you going to Backwoods Quail Club for the Fall Classic next weekend? I got an e-mail from Rick, owner of the club, yesterday and he is expecting 30 exhibitors. I plan to be there Saturday and Sunday and would really enjoy meeting as many of the forum participants as possible (between shooting!).

Judy and I will be there Friday - Sunday.

We'll probably hang out where the Carolina Vintagers are.

I'd like to meet others also.

When and where? I'll try.

Never mind, I found it. I'll get there Thursday night and leave Sunday. Means I better get on the road to Macon for a flat of short twelves and some sixteens.

Judy and I will be there also, Friday-Sunday. Will be shooting events and hanging around Steve Barnett's tables.

It was great fun last year. I plan to go again. I wonder if they will have the target thrown off the trampoline again?

Great event. Enjoyed meeting Stan Hillis (he bought a superb 16 ga. L.C. Smith Field grade w/32" bbls. and Hunter One trigger!). Met a lot of great new friends. Good food, good fun.

Thanks, John. It was a pleasure meeting you and Judy as well. She sure makes you look better! wink I also enjoyed meeting James Fincannon and Bob Fleming from the L.C. Smith Collectors Ass'n. First rate guys.

It really was a great event, with registrations being up some 15%, according to Rick. The targets were the best I've ever seen at an event of this type (non-registered). Very challenging without being overly long or fast.

Hats off to Rick and Bill.

Stan, your reference to the quality of targets seems to contradict my own observations. The clays used on the five stand were obviously cast iron so they wouldn't break no matter how perfectly I shot 'em. Bah!
