I have a broken mainspring on a high grade Victor Sarasqueta sidelock. I would appreciate suggestions for how to get it repaired. thanks.

John, I would try contacting a gunsmith who specializes in Spanish shotguns. I have one now being repaired by David Yale. The way I understand it, most Spanish gun parts are interchangable,or at least close enough to work with a little fitting. Dave

O-O, "high grade" usually suggests professional/highly skilled repair. If, however, you are a DIY guy, contact Brownell's Tech Support. They know springs.

Is it a leaf type spring or a coil spring? If it is a 7 pin side lock it is probably a leaf type spring.

It is a leaf spring. The lock has 5 pins and looks like the pics I have seen of Garbi locks.
