I only have one, an Army & Navy boxlock from around 1890 and it's 7 7/8 inches, tip to metal edge.

I lied! I forgot my single barrel J & W Tolley 12 gauge boxlock. 9 1/4 inches.

Two Piepers, one 12 gauge and one 16 gauge, both with Anson push button releases are 7 3/4 inches, not including the pushbutton.

A Heym 16 gauge boxlock and Lovena 12 gauge sidelock are 9 inches and 7 1/4 inches respectively.

Two Fox A grades are 8 inches and a Sterlingworth 16 gauge snap-on forend is 8 5/8 inches.

My personal favorite is the Heym. Just me but I think the more gradual taper looks best.
