8687. could be the serial number. Interesting that it has a decimal after the number. Ejector components looks to also be gold washed.

Lovena that was at Gulfcoast Guns

Purported to be a 1924 Hubertus(?) Lovena with Poldi Elektro tube steel.

Appears that even Lovena peddled a Musselshell double. Interest sight base.

When my gunsmith had the locks apart he mentioned to me that there were a number of components that were gold washed. It's not just the ejectors.

James

Stumbled across yet another Lovely Lovena:

Owner gives that the Siemens Martin Martele(?) tubes were 1930 Belgian proofmarks.

I strongly suspect that Jindrich Jirácek of Praha was involved.

Looks like another very nice Lovena Raimey. I did try following the link but my ability to navigate a Czech? link is rather limited.

Let's see if lifting the images is any better.

What is the Z term for safe?

Jindrich Jirácek of Praha

But they could have been getting them from Morgenstern who had sourced the craftsmen in Liege or both sourced the Liege mechanics.

Not as much side frame reinforcement on the Morgenstern as on the Lovely Lovenas and Jindrich Jirácek examples.

Petrik of Praha just for variety:

Safe as an adjective: živ a zdráv ???

Is that Petrik a stack barrel gun or is it single barrel?

I'm looking again at the Gulf Coast gun, which I believe was purchased by a member here and the engraving of the roSe bouquets look similar to the roses on my gun. Same person? Have we seen the proofs for that gun and dated it's production?

And let's not forget Frantisek Faukner Praha

Probably difficult to see but has F. Faukner A. Spol. Praha on the floorplate.

The Petrik Praha is a stacked 16x70mm / 16x70mm. I have handled the Gulf Coast Arms 16 bore several times and it has Belgian proofs, which I'll have to dig up.

živ a zdráv may be live and ready to fire?

James, maybe the same tap, tap, tap by the engraver on your Lovely Lovena??
