You pay someone to reregulate it. Most of the cost of doing so is for the ammo used.

For those soliciting opinions on Sabatti double rifles:
The basic Model 92 is GARBAGE! The forend iron is not hardened correctly and it prematurely wears out, causing the gun to slowly become impossible to open. This is due to excessive firing pin protrusion during opening--you have to drag the firing pins on the primers. A good double will have the firing pins out of the way sooner.
Also, the muzzle end treatments and barrels are a joke. Father bought one, returned one for repair, it came back THE SAME WAY, and looked at another one. The second sabatti double rifle was just as messed up as his first one!! Save your money and buy a used Merkel.
If you want the truth email me at sabattistink@gmail.com and I will tell you more, or just ask follow ups on this forum. I am disgusted with the way EAA is treating its customers who spend 3,000 dollars on a gun!!

I've heard the little critter on the lever is supposed to be a fox. Apparently it has been around on Italian guns for quite some time.

Bill's correct, it IS a fox, "volpe" in Italian. One of the Sabatti brothers told me that himself while I ate lunch with him in Toronto a couple of months ago.

Question, I have a Charles Daly shotgun made in Italy by Sabatti, its a sxs 12 ga. with 5 choke tubes, single non select trigger, engravings on receiver and beautiful wood. Looks new, wondering when it waas made and approximate value. Can mail pictures if necessary but don't know how to post myself.

Hi Lee, Its my first "album" using Gallery from Apple and I am not yet familiar with it. Thanks for the heads up on the extra code added. Here is the close up: JC Looks like a sad fox. Hopefully, a .600 NE would dispatch such a creature with only one shot.

This fox would have made for a better top lever: JC
