A little while back I bought a 16 gauge Fausti DEA-SL side-by-side shotgun from Cabelas website. Gun was shipped from their Indiana store.

As gun arrived, it was unusable. With Cabelas assistance, gun was returned to Fausti USA in Virginia for service. The Fausti USA people had indicated a week for repair and turnaround. Have had no phone answered or email reply since shipping the gun to them.

Today, a person with an Italian accent answered the phone at Fausti USA and explained it was his first day on the job and the company was under new ownership.

He thinks he has found guns that have been there for over a year waiting for service. He assured me that he talked to the new owners frequently and they were trying to decide what to do about all these guns that were there for service and repair. They currently have no one who could do that work.

He had no record of what my gun was returned for or how to find my gun.

It was his first day.

I will call him back in a week. Maybe he will get the beginning of a handle on things by then.

Premium priced guns are not necessarily premium quality or premium customer service.

Just saw this on another board; anyone else heard anything?
