Postoak, no I haven't any Ideals. This would have been my first. Someone offered me one about 4 years ago and I really didn't know what they were at the time. I said no and have regretted it since. It was also a 16 gauge and much plainer but in good condition.
I have been keeping an eye out since and this one looked good, but I really try to keep my buying habits in check, have bought three others guns this year and really shouldn't be buying a fourth right now. Hence my waffling last night.
While I would wish for longer barrels than 65 cm, the rest of the gun was almost exactly the Ideal I have been looking for.
I'm with everyone else, unless they look different in the flesh (or could be confirmed as factory original), try to make the inlay go away.
If you decide the gun is not for you, let me know. It's only 3 1/2 months to the new year, and then I can find a new way to rationalize buying a gun. LOL
