Someone brought this up to me and I didn't have a good answer. Hoping someone can inform me.
Occasionally we see a nice old field grade double, Fox, Parker or something along those lines, where someone has foolishly blued the receiver.
Any way to remove the bluing and get back some kind of reasonable finish more in line with what the makers intended without going the whole route of re-case hardening?
I don't mean something that is faking the colours (can you say torch job?) I just mean something reasonable.
