OK, so I'm ignorant, started life that way and am still working on it.
So my next question will be be just as dumb. The reason I asked the 20 ga question is that what I really want, and no I do not want one of those frilly looking things and I do not want something that weighs a tone, is a O/U double rifle that has the sturdy American look of a Ruger Red Label. I do not see any reason such could not be built on a 28 ga action, assuming the action is up to the pressures. And I'm not interested in some sort of dangeroius game round but rather a mild shooting round suitable for what we've got here in NE Florida. .35 Rem is my first choice.
Crazy....maybe, but I like the double for the same reason all of you who are more knowledgable like it, it's in the details that we differ. Kind of like arguing over what hair color you like on a woman even though we've agreed on the big issue of liking women!!
