It is a fine book and if tentman has looked at it he now sees that the only factory Mausers with round pistol grips and the only schnables are similar to this Springfield.

I can attest from my first publishing experience that one simply cannot rely on editors or proof readers to correct mistakes. They have even been known to change words correctly spelled in the original manuscript. Criticisms like this only come from those who have not been published. Personally, I am a rotten speller and a worse typist and edit Everything I write, including all of my posts here, multiple times. I have spellcheck and three dictionaries always at hand, use them regularly and still manage to screw things up.

My first experience with this forum was when a fellow here posted that I must not pay attention to detail in my custom gun work because the spelling in my book was incorrect. I went to the libray to respond because I was not online but these folks weren't having any of it.

I guess that makes me a poor speller adn a bad gunmaker..
