Tom, Daryl is right on the book choice. You might also find a copy of The Gun and its Development by W.W.Greener interesting (the 9th. edition of 1910 was re-printed many times and copies are easy to source). Last time I spoke with Graham Greener he was preparing another edition of his book The Greener Story.

19304 was made in 1878, 22860 in 1880. So I would say 19840 was probably made in 1878, possibly in 1879. With kind regards, Jani
