Thanks all. The top lever is in exactly the same position a brand new beretta top lever is...just right of center. The two ends of the U-bolt protrude .105 when the top lever is in the same position as when barrels are closed, it's only an RCH less than it does when the original barrels are on it. I cannot close the gun on a piece of newspaper, it's too tight. The locking bolt recesses are clean as whistle.
Pretty sure all is well and good, and unless I hear a loud shout from the back row here I'm going to just call it good and not look back.
