Josef Schönlieb was issued #46 by the British at the close of WWII and he like many others came for a long line of very special mastercraftsmen who's roots can be traced back for at least 200 years. I haven't much specific info on the craftsman but I'm sure he was typical of the Ferlach craftsmen, who are about the only group who have been able to continue to subscribe the "one off" school of gunmaking and continue to weather the tide. If you'd post some pics of the flats and area between the flats and the forend lug, there might be a few marker's marks which would assit in ferreting out his sources. I'd guess he souced the consortium and may have been a member.
Kind Regards,
Raimey
