It is my belief that I may have well assisted in the building of this gun. If so I can say that the gun originated in Spain came via Somerton Gins Somerset and was repaired/rebarrelled.
If I am correct the gun is essentially a Spanish trade gun lovingly stroked by a number of Birmingham gunmakers.
I could (will) look up the original cost out of personal interest. Providing the gun is still in good condition it will be okay but it certainly is not 'Best'.
I personally own a 12guage Eibar that once belonged to the Earl of Bradford, this gun was a gift from the King of Spain. The gun was described by Nick Holt the auctioneer as 'a clunker' shows what he knows about guns.
