Sirs, I am in Houston visiting my terminally ill mother-in-law. I took a break for a few hours from sitting by the bed, and my son and I went pawn shopping.
Local shop has a 12g, ser#106020 (don't know the year) 32"bbl, DT, 20% conservative cc, lever to the right, tight lockup, missing front bead, no pitts in the barrels. He is asking $365+tax. Fair price?
Thanks, redoftx

At that price, I'd be surprised if it's still there when you get back. Even if you don't want it, you will be able to sell or trade toward something you'd prefer and come out ahead... assuming it is as described. Check for loose ribs, especially near that missing bead. Good luck.

As soon as I posted this my mom-in-law took a turn for the worst, she's still with us but probably won't last the night. Any way she's stable for the time being and the pawn shop stays open to 7pmCST. So I'll go back in an hour or so and see if it is still there. Thanks for the replies.

Well, the Sterly is mine. Never had one before, but I know they were the economy model of the time, like a Fulton or Nitro Special. Also, the barrels ring like a bell.
Speaking of Nitro Specials, The same shop had a 20ga, 28"bbls, but the wrist was broken clean through, held on only by the rear tang screw and trigger guard screws. All the wood was there, no splinter pieces missing and probably could have been repaired with the technology we have in wood repairing today. $140plus tax, but I couldn't get both so I opted for the Fox.
Thanks for ya'lls help, redoftx

The 32" Sterlingworth is quite scarce, maybe even rare. Share your success on the Fox collectors website.
