Hi, only just found these forums. I'm a shotgun nut from the UK and I've been busy restoring Londong the Brum shotguns. If anyone is interested I have a Blog. I hope it's OK to put it here. I hope to post here and get involved with the forums and learn from other like minded folks. Blog; http://www.vintageshotgun.com Welcome comments! Regards, Tony

Ballistix999: A VERY worthwhile site. Kudos. I shall visit it often. Perhaps even contribute. And... welcome here!
Best, Kensal

Hello Tony,
Nice site. Plenty of interesting information. Where did your order the copper sulfate solution from? Is it used like the etching solution from Radio Shack (ferric chloride)?

Thanks Guys! I got the copper sulphate solution from a gunsmith over in the UK called Peter Dyson. It makes an amazing difference to the start of the browning process bringing out the contrast in the barrels.

Thanks for sharing that with us Tony. Do you know what strength or concentration your copper sulphate solution is?
