Bill, altho I am the poster boy for The Society of Greater Fools, I do understand. I have an actual engineering stake out in the shed; if it isn't stamped Parker Bros. I miss my guess. I saw a Trojan yrs. ago in a shop in Strasburg OH; tag said it had been a "club gun" and by its appearance it must have been used exclusively in the that mode. 950$. I never would have dreamed I could find one this solid for less than 9C. OK, I did find some more pitting in the latter third of the right barrel but it fits and is solid and will make a good shooter and I like to shoot em. I've been lucky with "stove bolt" guns. My 450$ The Sterlingworth Co. pin gun has cleaner bores; not quite as nice wood.
I think I'll keep this one for a while. As I'm not particularly larcenous when I sell something I'll probably realize a few dollars. I've never lost money on any gun I sold including a horrible Utica SW which I bought for 299 and sold for 300.
