You say you want a side-by-side double for shooting steel and you'd like it to have screw-in chokes, well then you could not go wrong if you were to choose a gun designed by an American company and built for an American company---a Parker Reproduction DHE "Sporting Clays Classic" model. With its classic American styling, 3" chambers, factory Winchoke choke tubes and chrome lined bores it would seem to be the logical choice, but with only 125 of them ever produced it may prove to be a tough find. If you could live without the screw-in chokes you might also consider a somewhat more frequently encountered Parker Reproduction "Steel Shot Special" model (350 of these were produced). The SSS, also with 3" chambers, .740 bores and choked .006/.018 would likewise be on my short list of candidates. If these two suggestions prove too elusive, you may also consider a standard DHE Parker Repro as they were also safe to shoot steel through with any choking looser than full.
