I have a Holland and Holland SxS set of barrels. Heres tne question. If you had the two barrel set and it was missing the number 1 set would you like to have it?? So I am posting this tread hoping to reunite the set. Any idea how to find the lucky owner of the shotgun in question.
It is 12 bore ser# 14xxx
Maybe we will get lucky.

You need to give the full serial no. on your barrels. I have a gun in the 14,000 range, but it may not be the "one of a thousand in that range."

If the number "1" is on the rib, it probably indicates one of a pair(or more)of guns rather than the first of a two barrel set. Do you just have the barrels and not the rest of the gun?...Geo

The barrels I have came from a gunsmith closing after 58 years of busness. The ser# is 14416.

Geo is almost certainly correct. The guy whose day you could really make is whomever has the rest of #1.

I have a Royal in that serial no. Range with two sets of original factory barrels. Neither set is numbered 1 or 2 like you see in pairs of guns.

Two barrel sets are sometimes numbered #1 and #1C.
