I found this thread through a google search. I have just acquired a similar gun. LBrown, you sure seem in the know about these type of double barrels. Here's a pic of the info located under the forestock. Anything I could learn about this gun would be most appreciated.

2 1/2" chambers, unless they've been altered. The double proof, thus subjected to higher pressure than standard proof. "Safety barrels", which doesn't really mean much--more or less advertising.

If you can provide a photo of the barrel flats back to the breech, we might be able to tell you more.
