Bill: Any indication of a serial number in the 29k range? Also I see a Krupp steel stamp and possibly some initials on the underside of the left tube. Are there any there, on the flats or near the forend lug? Kind Regards, Raimey rse

Serial number is 26xx. The barrel markings are Krupp-laufstahl on each barrel and a mark (looks like an acorn, maybe,) with a S to the right of that. Has eagle over N on each flat. Has another mark (hammer? with c p? inside a cup, then the date. Bill

Thanks Bill for the effort. The "acorn" is probably an Imperial Eagle if it is to the left of the "Crown" over "S". I'd guess it was sourced and it seems odd that the stamp on the top of the right tube is upsidedown. If the Charles Daly O/U examples I viewed this week along with the Daly SxS at Cabelas(2616x) with the initials "F.A.", which were in the 26k range, were indeed made by the Brothers Adamy and considering the Papa(Ernst Hemingway) purchased an O/U with serial number 29392(see "Shooting Sportsman" March/April 2010 page 58), then this coupled with a 10 year production interval bound only at the ends would yield that Adamy churned out about 300 examples per year. Anyone have info or a pic on Papa's Adamy O/U?
Kind Regards,
Raimey rse
