The question here always arises in my mind as to what constitutes a "Different" frame size. I have for instance 12ga guns of the same make which have Three different firing pin spacings, three different widths & heights of the standing breech. The rest of the frames, bar etc are all identical as close as can be told.
Some might call these different frames, personally I call it simply modifications of the same basic frame. I personally feel for a "True Dedicated" frame size the entire frame has to be proportioned down.
I detest to see a small gauge gun built on a frame in which the bar is about as wide as the bbl breechs, as is sometimes seen on the .410 & to a slightly lesser extent on the 28ga.
