Anyone know who? I do not believe Parsons will work on German stuff.

There is still this service being offered in the german hunting mags I think they are located in Wetzlar where all the top scopes came from.
I can check deeper on it if you wanted to post it to them in the fatherland

That would be much appreciated. I am currently building a H&H falling block and just recently acquired the proper Skopar by Voigtlander period scope and would like to get it refurbished.

Martin,
Any luck finding the source in Germany? The scope is pictured in the Holland thread below.

Steve - I'm no scope expert, but.... Happily used in 2009 the company ABO (USA), INC. of 14041 SW 139th Ct., Miami, FL 33186 telephone 305-859-2010 (www.abousainc.com) and the manager is Shin. They don't shy away from "vintage" nor "german." Had a vintage German AJACK (A.JACKENKROLL) scope on an August Schuler (Suhl) 7mm Mauser fixed via their service. Hazy view inside, wasn't hitting paper at 50yds. and realized the front bell had been bent 1/4 cm. They couldn't guarantee against breaking the scope during the repair because it was badly bent, however, it went successfully and for $70 they 'cleaned; aligned; resealed; reset the objective; reticle parallax-optical center-POI; straightened the bent tube; re-treated the optical lens; repaired the separated erector lenses.' Was amazed they fixed it. PS - showed the 303brit martini to my dad today (he's 80 years young) and he's getting an itch (his single shot experience extends only to his Springfield M6 Scout)! lol

IMO Ajacks are fully equal to Zeiss and Hensoldt.

Hi SKB,
I have an Ajack fitted onto a German .303 Enfield sporter done just after WW2 it has the same problems as above post. The info I have on it is below.
Reticle No1
The elevation adjustment dial base is well marked with a roll engraved , “ AJACK 6x50 “
The power designation, “ 6 x 50“ , ( 6 power magnification with a 50 mm diameter objective lens)
A. Jackenkroll Berlin SO 33 (A. Jackenkroll, Optische Anst., SO 36, Schlesische Str. 29/30 Berlin) Manufacturer of riflescopes from 1879-1962.
At 70 bucks in the US i reckon the Germans would be much higher than that.
I am still looking for a service agent here as I have been collecting Zeiss/Hensoldts and some need TLC , though I am surprised by how many were still perfect optically after all these years.
I also picked up a huge box of gunmakers discarded claw mounts (they were expensive but at least now I can get my rifle collection remounted with scopes to suit)
Martin
