the shorty oberndorf sporter is very special to mauser boys. these were made in 8,15x46, 6,5x54, 8x51, .250sav,.... total production was just a bit more then that of legendary remi 660 in 6,5mag and .350mag. for less then price of that bolt he too could have art deco remington 600 or 660 carabine. excluding two of yours there are still about 13,140 out there. mine is model 660 of which there are 5,203 or so still out there.

I would like a copy. I have a couple articles on this. It appears to me that The hardest part would be the hand work. This was found by a friend at a local range. He didn't know what it was. He just wanted a mauser with double set triggers.



I may never have an opportunity to own one.
