Devolve. I like that. Now that is a neat word! I'll use that in the future.
May God bless America and those who defend her.

Rockdoc - While the original attempts at single triggers may have suffered from reliablity problems, it's not true today. Look at the competitors' guns at a big time sporting clays shoot, where every bird is critical. Betcha virtually every gun is single trigger

My opinion is that Dan and Ken will be performing a great service if they merely take on the responsibility of repairing the Miller triggers that are out there today, regardless if they ever install a new one. Doug Turnbull gave us hope that we would have someone to fix our old triggers, whether we wanted a new trigger or not. I have a baggo Miller trigger guns and am glad to have a name to holler if one of them starts to malfunction. I was devastated when Howard passed away because he was my lifeline for repairs. Now I don't have to worry. Murphy

Dan, Congratulations and best wishes on your new business venture. I know at least one guy that will likely be your customer. It'll be on a .410, no doubt, as he is a dyed in the wool fourtenner. I'll be sure and let him know where the Miller Triggers went.
Regards Chuck

All,
Thank you for the kind words of encouragement! This is a big step for us and we appreciate the support. We have the greatest respect for the Millers and all that they accomplished and will do our best to make them proud.
Kindest regards, Dan & Ken

My father worked at the Brubaker Tool Co. next door to Mr. Miller's shop in Millersburg, Pa., during the 1950's and early 60's. Quite often he found part time employment with them stoning and fitting parts. I think it was more an excuse to hang out there. A lot of local working class guys had Miller install his trigger on the doubles they scrimped and saved for which may account for the decent number of nice doubles that turn up in that neck of the woods.

Great story! He was lucky, I wish I could go back in time and do the same thing!

I'm recovering from "Survivor- Guatemala" and "The Amazing Race" but wanted to encourage Dan's new effort, and note a PictureTrail album devoted to Single Triggers. I would certainly like to add pics of others. This trigger remains unidentified http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/22972484

I realized that the following isn't a Miller, but is it a variant of Austrian-American Joseph Kautzky's patent # 827,242: http://www.google.com/patents?id=FqlkAAA...p;q&f=false ? Was Joseph Kautzky single selective design the first of its kind or was there an earlier one? His son, Joseph Kautzky, Jr., also had a single trigger patent or an advancement on the original Kind Regards, Raimey rse

Anyone who takes on the repair, restoration or the manufacture of a part that will maintain history or heritage gets my vote. Let us hope that the drawings and technicalities involved in producing them can be logged and preserved for posterity. I once had the good fortune to be given a guided tour of the Suzuka facility by Mr. Honda. All his old failures were archived, just in case new technology comes along to make them a success. If only Birmingham UK had done the same when they built their Ringroad. Good luck with your venture.
