I'm curious as to what the best Lefever reference book is.

Is there another besides "Uncle Dan Lefever, Master Gunmaker"? I have that and enjoy it very much. Bob Elliott sells them direct. 903-882-5019.

Bob did another book many years ago and according to him it is "poor" and don't waste you money. His new book is excellent and has great photo work. Dr. BILL

Both of Bob's books are excellent, chock full of useful information, but the newer one, Uncle Dan Lefever, Master Gunmaker, has more material, including many great color photos. You don't need both. Rich

Rich has It Right. Bob in fact first published a little paper back entitled "Thoughts on Lefevers". Then he & Jim Cobb co-arthured a hard back "Lefever; Guns of Lasting Fame". His present work is "Uncle Dan Lefever, Master Gunmaker". This final version is the one you want. No need for the others unless you just want them as collectables. As Rich said this one has everything the earlier one does plus much more. I bought each one as they came out & do not in any way regret the cost of this last one as it added so much.

Chuck - my belated two-cents on this question. There is bio stuff and other Lefever info scattered throughout the Lefever Affiliation website that is just non-existent elsewhere.
