Terry, you beat me to it. I was going to mention that it would be a possible project gun except for the slightly cracked wrist. Amazing how the two sides of the crack are different colors. Must be the way the sun hits it or maybe a trick of the camera.
Since the stock is two different colors on either side of the "crack", and even the checkering is laid out at a different angle, I was wondering if this was supposed to be a repair, or an attempt at making a take-down stock. Personally, I would have just removed the barrels and forearm to make it a shorter package.
I don't know what to say about the crossbolt. I am left speechless.
Still, if I was working on one of these, I would gamble that there are possibly over $31.00 worth of good spare parts left on this gun. I might find myself dissapointed to find it has drywall screw firing pins, barbed wire mainsprings, and a Stevens 311 forearm iron ground to fit, more or less.
