Came across in DGJ a story (with pictures) by Tom Kid on a late C grade Fox with a single trigger (Kautzky). He remarked that the gun (all factory original) had had its trigger case colored. Accordingly, what are the merits (or lack there of) of having ones trigger case colored and how often was it done on doubles of the early era?
PS. Same question on Top Lever's applies. I think that may add something to the looks, above and beyond a deep rust/hot/or carbonia blue, but I don't believe Top Lever's as a rule are case colored because the color would rub off so quickly. Thanks for any and all input.
