Lowell,
I don't know about the RBL being a new classic nor do I have any interest in McKay Brown guns. They are obviously not in the same league in terms of cost or quality or embellishment. They may be comparable on their utilitarian characteristics, but I wouldn't know, nor do I think it's relavent, at least to me and my purchase. I wanted an American made 20g sxs that was well made and suited my modern hunting gun desires.

As represented in their ads and prototypes, the RBL suited my desires perfectly. Some of the guns I've seen and statements CSM has apparently made, have me questioning my decision.

From what I've seen, I'd pay an extra handling fee to have the gun left without their version of "checkering" and "engraving".
