Ken also quoted me $700 for the job.

I have used the Laser Welder in PA when I used to live there. The business is Microfusion. He has no FFL so you can't ship guns there. He did all of my work well, but when I left, I gave him a folding front sight from my Stevens .22 to weld, and paid him in advance. Now he won't answer my calls and I've given up on getting my sight back. Better steer clear.

I had laser welding done to tighten up a drillings sidewalls here in Germany. I was informed that it is a normal toolmaking technique nowadays and I was charged 300 euros.
