That looks like a pretty piece of wood you have under all that wear and grime...Geo Afterthought: what's that thing engraved on your right sideplate; a dinosaur??? After Afterthought: I see you are in Croatia; might be a little difficult to ship to USA for repairs

Hello Mario,
It depends on how much it would cost you. A new stock will probably be more
expensive than the gun. JMHO.

Would cost about 400 EUR for a new butt, I do not know whether the gun is losing value with the new rifle butt because of age. Still, it original to the gun. Thanks Jaycee. Geo, I wish I am in America

Manufacturer is unknown, some Belgian and unknown marks on the rifle. Some other guys on this forum (Raimey, ..) said clean up, then we may know more.

You asked for opinions and I will give you mine: the firearm (I do not understand if it is a shotgun or a rifle) is of not high value (I mean market value, not sentimental value) so just make some refinish for the wood (a little sanding and some kind of oil finish) and that is. If you can make the small piece of missed wood, fine, but it is not escential.
Perhaps you can make the refinish by yourself saving a lot of money. I once made a wood refinish for a shotgun with a Brichwood kit, without previous experience, and the results was really fine. Little sanding, little filler and lots of oil finish rubbing.
