The Commonwealth Games were shot at Bisley in 2002 and went well. I was a referee, and there are many more competitors at a Commonwealth Games than at Olympics and I have done two of each.
Bisley is an historic shooting range and the facilities are excellent. Why Bisley won't be used is beyond me.
Waste of money putting it a Woolwich.

Typical of Blair's New Labour. He wouldn't want shooters to benefit and never did mind wasting tax payer's money. Lagopus.....

This is a very sad state of affairs for World shooting, we organised a petition to the Prime Minister, nothing has been done. It is my understanding that the shooting will cost taxpayers over £40 million Pounds sterling by the time the site is cleared after the Olympics, with nothing being left as a legacy to shooting. This is totally against the ethos and fabric of the Modern Olympic movement, perhaps you guys could ask some pointed questions about World Welfare and the wastage of resources on our behalf and embarrass Sebastion Coe (The Bigot)who is the leader of the organising committee, it would be interesting to know how much he received in taxpayers money when he was an athlete? Wouldn't it be nice to have a mass demonstration by shooters at an Olympic award ceremony, but of course that would be another nail in our coffin.

I understand that British shooters are to boycot the roles of referee at the Olympic shooting disciplines. I still think that the 2012 Olympics should have gone to Madrid. Lagopus.....
