It was designed and manufactured with the axle hole in the lug between the tumblers a smaller i.d. than the corresponding holes in the sides of the frame thus retaining the pin by the tight fit. The holes on the sides of the frame are there strictly to facilitate installation and removal of the pin. All I'm saying is why unnecessarily modify the way the gun was made?


You didn't say how to "resize the axle hole", yet. The ways we suggested sound much easier and less invasive.
