Tudurgs, the early Miller works the same as the 3200; selecting the barrel takes it off safe. The only difference is that, on the Miller, you must either move the selector or look at it to confirm you are really on safe. For me, that is about two hundred or more times a day on a hunt. The 3200 safety/selector can be checked by feel. In my opinion, the early Miller is a pain in the butt for a hunter. It is at its best in the pigeon ring or the clay target course. The second generation Miller was obviously thought of as an improvement by Elmer Miller.
