I have a 1927 L.C. Smith Ideal Gr. 12 ga that has a Miller single trigger, it is the early one that has the selector where they all should be, on the safety slide. Operates like a 3 position safety, forward right barrel, rearward, left barrel.

Although I must admit in over 45 years of shooting I have never selected a trigger postion yet. I could see where it could be helpful in waterfowl hunting.
