Has anyone on this forum had any experience with the 16 ga barrels that came from CSMC that were made for the Parker Reproductions? I understand there may have been a thread(s) discussing this in the past. I've looked, but can't go back further than 1 year.

I'm interested in a .410 barrel set or two, but would like to hear from some happy past customers before comitting.

Thanks

I had a 20ga Repro at the time and thought about a 16ga barrel set. Called CSMC. They said the barrels would require some fitting, probably about a $3-400 operation. Didn't do it, but would also be interested in hearing from anyone who did.

I've looked at some of the original 16-20 sets, and in at least a couple cases, while the barrels do fit, they're a little less than perfect.

I have an original repro 16-20 gun with the Kreghoff made 16ga barrels. I then bought a set of the CSMC 16ga barrels and fit them to the same gun myself to make a three barrel set.

The Galazan barrels are very nice quality and I have no real beef with them. They fit the gun in all areas with the exception that the top of the dolls head extension sit's slightly proud of the frame.

The gun shoots and handles just fine with them, but IMHO the Kreghoff barrels are of better fit and quality. Keep in mind that I fit the Galazan barrels and Kreghoff fit the barrels they made for the repro's. The original reproduction 20ga were send to Kreghoff and they fit the 16ga barrels they made to the 16-20 reproductions.

Overall it is my favorite gun and the only one that I would never consider trading or selling.
