When it rains it pours. A friend found a James McCririck Ayr in eastern Canada and is shipping it down. It must predate James McCririck and Sons. This is an outstanding Scottish made back action under lever 12 bore Damascus no choke probably made in the mid 60's or early 70's. I can see why the Scots were reknown for dangerous game rifle up there.

Another friends has offered an almost NIB 20ga Pigeon Winchester 23 XTR? with 28" tubes F/M with a Winchester case and paper work. Looks like it was made in German or Japan as it is as tight as my mother-in-law's pocketbook. He wants $1,300 for it but I'd only get it for trading for more vintage.

Is there a demand for these 20 ga as shooters. collectibles as I see the prices all over the map but I doubt they sell for these amount. To me sure is much nicer than my Browning 20ga BSS.

Thanks Erin
