I have a couple of the Chas. Daly (Zastava made) left hand Mauser actions. I'm thinking about whether one of these actions could be turned into a classic G&H styled 30-06 sporting rifle. They already come drilled & tapped for a receiver sight but of course on the mirror side to the holes on a right hand Mauser.
Here are a couple of questions I need to find answers to:
1. Is there a Lyman 48 variant that would fit a LH Mauser? If I'm not mistaken a sight for a Winchester fits on the left side of the receiver. Any idea whether this may fit on my LH Mauser?
2. Are there different model bases for Griffin and Howe side mounts? i.e. different models for Mausers, Winchesters Springfields etc?
3. Are these side mounts reversible? i.e. could I turn it around and mount it on the right side of my left hand Mauser?
Any help or insight anyone can provide would be most appreciated.
