As I learn, I take on project guns that wont matter a lot if I screw up a bit. Latest project is a Beretta for a friend. With the factory finish off, there is some nice wood to be seen. The butt of the stock is darker colored with some nice "marbeling"(not sure of the proper term) on the left side. However up around the action, it is noticebly lighter. Is there a stain I can use to help darken the front section with out affecting the main areas of the stock. The finishing oil I've been using is Waterlox if that makes a difference.
