Eightbore, I would guess that is a customized buttplate, not factory.

IMO looks like someone worked over a M70 buttplate.

Have Lyman swinging peep for an 1888 Commission rifle, this rifle was also marketed commercially with later improvements but I don't know the model designation of the later rifle. This sight replaces the entire bolt stop. Sorry, won't bolt onto a M-S!

Condition is excellent however the screw-in aperture may be a replacement.

I'm seeking a Leupold Alaskan 6X; a full-block Lyman 48S, R, C or M; orig Win high/low wall parts; and Martini Cadet actions & parts.
